Pregnancy is a very exciting time for millions of parents. If you ask most if they’re hoping for a boy or a girl, most will answer “I just want a healthy baby.” According to the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), birth defects affect about 1 in every 33 babies born in the USA every year. In January, organizations across the country work to spread awareness to help prevent the developments of birth defects moms all over the world can have happy, healthy pregnancies and babies.
