The American Cancer Society estimates that the 5-year survival rate of women with breast cancer is 89%. For cervical cancer, it’s estimated at 71%. For ovarian cancer, the 5-year survival rate for women is 46%. Because it’s one of the most difficult cancers to detect (fewer than 20% of ovarian cancer patients are diagnosed early), ovarian cancer is one of the most deadly women’s cancers, and one that everyone should be aware of.
